Three different "year lengths" circulate: ~261 = raw weekdays; ~250 = weekdays minus public holidays (real working days); 2,080 hours = the payroll constant (52 × 40) that ignores holidays entirely because holiday pay is still pay. Use 2,080 for salary math, ~250 for capacity and day-rate math — mixing them creates the classic 4% planning error.
